With the demise of so many specialist plant sellers, the Lilium and Bulb Society decided to attempt to protect a collection of many hundred cultivars that had been put together by an enthusiast who was moving on. The collection has been spread amongst members who are growing them on. Some of these plants are now flowering and we hope to be able to supply plants at future shows.
The images below are from just one of the members’ gardens. Many more are in the “pipeline” and we’ll show them after the photographs have been processed.
At the end of the 2016 growing season, all member's plants were transferred to Carrick Hill, where under the watchful eyes of head gardener Neil Waters, they will make up part of this historic garden display.
